We’re looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join an established design and engineering team working on R&D and experimental work based in the Warrington area on a 6 month+ contract basis.
What does the Mechanical Design Engineer job involve?
- Providing professional Mechanical Design services to a research & development project.
- Using Creo & Windchill for tooling design, detailing and assembly procedures.
- Working to support a small design engineering team, you will be expected to work independently on assigned tasks.
- Liaise with other team members to successfully achieve project milestones and costs.
- The Mechanical Design Engineer will be providing expert design for projects associated with the Large Hadron Collider at CERN.
What skills and experience do you need?
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or HNC in Mechanical Engineering with significant practical mechanical design experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a mechanical design role.
- Proven track record using Creo & Windchill for tooling design independently.
What are the pay and benefits?
- £33-£34 per hour PAYE + holiday pay accrual (inside IR35)
