We’re looking for a Principal/Associate Civil Engineer to join our Manchester/North Wales based client on a Permanent basis. Our client is a Civil/Structural Consultancy who have been established for over 25 years. They have offices in Manchester, Scotland and North Wales and work with a variety of clients across a number of sectors including Asset Management, Highways and Environmental Schemes. This role will report directly into the Managing Director.
What does the job involve?
Business development, secure and retaining key clients within the industry
Securing regular and ongoing projects from key civils clients
Managing on time, in full, on budget delivery of projects
Recruiting and managing suitable personnel for and on behalf of the company
P&L responsibility for the Civils – North Wales & North West of England division
Responsible for safeguarding, compliance and H&S within the division
Mentoring, professional development and PMR’s for direct reports
As Director, input to companywide business strategy, organisation and operations
To promote and establish the business as a leading civil engineering consultancy within North Wales & North West of England
To build and manage a financially sustainable division that has key clients who provide predictable revenue streams
To build and manage a sustainable team of suitably experienced and qualified employees and associates who are capable of both managing and delivering customer requirements on time, in full and on budget
To ensure the division of the business remains compliant, observes all up to date industry practices, codes of conduct and protects the health and safety of all its employees
What skills and experience do you need?
Chartered Engineer, preferably with ICE
Previous client facing management experience
Extensive experience in leading teams and projects. Managing people, budgets, delivery etc.
Track record of developing business within the infrastructure industry

£60,000 - £70,000
