We are currently looking to support our client operating in the oil, gas and energy sector with a requirement for an Electrical Department Manager to be located in Saudi Arabia. Prospective candidates must be committed to working in Saudi Arabia as a local hire worker, and as such the role is not on a rotational basis but can be married status in terms of some of the assistance offered - including a competitive (local tax free) salary with local housing & transport.
Candidates must be from a Design background with experience in Conceptual, FEED and detailed engineering on large scale projects only.

Electrical Department Manager with proven extensive experience in the design of Substations, Transmission and Distribution Systems in the Oil & Gas and, hydrocarbon industries. Experience in Conceptual, FEED, and detailed engineering of medium to large scale projects required. Minimum 20 years' experience is required.
o Lead a team of 40 to 60 electrical engineers and designers
o Review and approve discipline work plans
o Review and approve electrical systems studies (e.g. ETAP)
o Review and approve competitive work-hour estimates with innovative execution plan for Electrical discipline.
o Develop and maintain typical electrical engineering deliverables for use across all projects
o Provide technical leadership and guidance to the project team.
o Responsible for design integrity of electrical scope, performance of assigned staff, on-schedule delivery of the work within budget
o Lead technical presentations to Clients and their representatives as required
o Serve as technical resource on all matters relating to electrical engineering
- Minimum Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, and a minimum of 20 years' in Oil & Gas industry, hydrocarbon, petroleum refinery and offshore
o Expert knowledge & understanding of Design practices, Construction Practices and Procedures.
o Wide knowledge of codes and industry standards IEEE, NFPA, API, IEC, ANSI/NEMA etc.
o Wide knowledge in Electrical Power Systems, Protection Philosophy & Protection Device Coordination.
o Knowledge of Saudi Aramco Standards and procedures will be an added advantage.
