Accounts Administrator
Location: Liverpool (Old Swan)
Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 per annum
Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
- Friday: 8:00am – 4:00pm

The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Administrator to join a busy office-based team in Liverpool.
This is a varied role combining accounts administration, payroll support, CIS administration and general office support. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of financial and administrative processes across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & Supplier Management
- Process supplier invoices, credit notes and subcontractor applications
- Obtain approvals and authorise invoices for payment
- Investigate and resolve supplier and subcontractor queries
- Reconcile supplier statements and creditor reports
- Prepare monthly payment runs and priority payment schedules
- Match purchase invoices to remittances for filing and scanning
Payroll & CIS Administration
- Process weekly timesheets and verify hours worked
- Administer CIS payments and associated documentation
- Manage new starters, leavers, holiday pay, bank holiday pay and pension contributions
- Upload payroll payments via online banking systems
- Prepare employee expense schedules for payroll processing
Employee Administration
- Maintain holiday records and issue holiday documentation
- Support employee recognition initiatives and internal administration
- Produce and distribute job transaction reports to engineers
Financial Administration & Reporting
- Raise monthly sales invoices and internal recharges
- Process company credit card expenses and maintain expenditure records
- Update cost reports and nominal ledger analysis spreadsheets
- Maintain direct debit records within the accounting system
- Provide cover and support across finance functions when required
Office Support
- Order stationery, kitchen supplies and office consumables
- Provide general administrative support to accounts and operations teams
- Assist with ad hoc administrative and finance-related tasks
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Administrator, Finance Administrator, Accounts Assistant or similar role
- Experience of accounts payable and supplier reconciliations
- Payroll and CIS administration experience would be highly advantageous
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- A proactive and flexible approach to work
