  • Monitor site activities including lifting operations, working at height and other high-risk construction activities.

  • Liaise directly with client site managers, contractors, employees and plant operators.

  • Review Construction Phase Plans, risk assessments, method statements and other safety documentation.

  • Support the maintenance and continual improvement of company health and safety management systems.

  • Promote best practice and drive a positive safety culture across projects and business operations.

  • Support offices and operations across England, Scotland and Ireland.

  • Prepare professional reports, audit findings and recommendations.

  • Assist with incident investigations and root cause analysis.

  • Support the promotion and development of health and safety services to clients.

Requirements

  • NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma or equivalent health and safety qualification.

  • IOSH membership with Chartered status achieved or actively being worked towards.

  • TechIOSH candidates will also be considered.

  • ISO 45001 Lead Auditor qualification with practical auditing experience.

  • Current First Aid qualification.

  • Strong knowledge of UK occupational health and safety legislation and guidance.

  • Up-to-date understanding of CDM 2015 Regulations, including Principal Contractor responsibilities.

  • Demonstrable heavy construction experience.

  • Experience within power generation, process, renewable energy, infrastructure or related sectors would be advantageous.

  • Strong communication, stakeholder management and report-writing skills.

  • Excellent IT skills.

  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK, with occasional international travel if required.

What's on Offer

  • Permanent full-time position.

  • Hybrid working arrangement with a mix of home office and site-based work.

  • Competitive salary of circa £55,000 per annum.

  • Benefits package and bonus scheme.

  • Realistic on-target earnings of £60,000–£65,000 per annum.

  • Opportunity to work on major construction, engineering and infrastructure projects across the UK and internationally.
