We are supporting our client based in Stafford working in the water sector with a requirement for a Project Manager on a full time, permanent staff basis. Candidates will ideally be based in the Staffordshire region and be willing to travel as and when required as this role covers Southern water sites. Duties:
- You will lead project delivery with a steady focus on meeting scope, cost, quality, and schedule goals.
- You will keep programmes, forecasts, and reports up to date while staying closely connected with clients as their main point of contact.
- You will guide engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors, ensuring all work meets standards and safety expectations.
- You will identify risks and opportunities early and put practical plans in place.
- You will share clear progress updates, manage changes smoothly, and encourage open, collaborative working with clients and partners.
- You will also drive continuous improvement through feedback and lessons learned.
Requirements:
- Clear communication, thoughtful negotiation, and positive stakeholder engagement.
- Strong, supportive leadership and confident project management.
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of project finances.
- Comfortable managing several projects at once.
- Skilled in MS Project, Excel, and key project tools.
- Knowledge of electrical, control, and utility infrastructure work.
- Project management qualification (APM, PRINCE2, or similar).
- HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- CSCS/ECS card and SMSTS/SSSTS (preferred).
- Full UK driving licence.
- Proven experience in electrical, control, or utilities projects.
- Background leading multidisciplinary teams from design to commissioning.
