About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Marketing & Communications Content Producer to join a busy and creative marketing team within a higher education environment. This role is ideal for a dynamic communications professional who enjoys storytelling, digital content creation, and engaging a wide range of audiences through innovative campaigns.
You will play a key role in producing compelling content that promotes the organisation’s reputation, engages internal and external audiences, and supports student recruitment campaigns. Working alongside marketing, communications, and digital teams, you will help deliver impactful content across multiple platforms.
This is a varied and hands-on role that will suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working on a wide mix of digital and multimedia content.
Key Responsibilities
- Write, edit and publish engaging content across websites, blogs, social media, email campaigns, digital advertising, podcasts, and video platforms.
- Produce high-quality marketing and communications content that informs, inspires, and engages target audiences.
- Support integrated marketing campaigns by creating content that aligns with campaign messaging and objectives.
- Work with internal stakeholders to understand projects and develop appropriate communications plans and content strategies.
- Create multimedia content including photography, video, and visual assets where required.
- Optimise digital content using SEO best practices to improve visibility and search rankings.
- Monitor and analyse content performance using analytics and data insights to improve engagement.
- Support the development of user-generated content and student storytelling initiatives.
- Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines, tone of voice, and relevant legislation.
About You
The successful candidate will have a strong background in marketing, communications, or digital content creation, with experience producing content for diverse audiences.
You will bring:
- Proven experience creating marketing or communications content within a complex organisation.
- Excellent copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Experience producing content across multiple formats including web, social media, blogs, campaigns, and presentations.
- Knowledge of SEO, digital marketing, and content optimisation.
- Experience using content management systems and social media platforms professionally.
- Basic skills in photography, video creation, or multimedia editing.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable
- Experience working in higher education, public sector, or large organisations.
- Professional marketing or communications qualifications such as CIM, CIPR, or NCTJ.
- Ability to communicate in Welsh (written or spoken).
Additional Information
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support events.
- The role may involve attending events and engaging directly with students and staff.
