The Role
We are recruiting two Field Service Engineers to join a specialist engineering team delivering calibration, commissioning, and repair services for process weighing and measurement systems.
This is a home-based role involving daily travel to customer sites across the UK, with occasional overnight stays. You will work with a wide range of calibration equipment and receive full training across an extended product portfolio, including belt weighers and boiler leak detection systems, as well as multiple calibration disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Calibrate, commission, and fault-find on-site process weighing systems using F1 & M1 test weights, stamped flow meters, and force calibration test rigs
- Install and commission belt weighers and boiler leak detection systems
- Carry out calibration for temperature, pressure, pH, conductivity, and magnet strength
- Undertake off-site repairs of scales and balances at company facilities when required
- Complete service reports and calibration certificates prior to leaving site
- Ensure full compliance with all Health, Safety & Environmental procedures
- Support assembly and testing activities at headquarters as needed
- Participate in weekend cover (one in every three Saturdays)
- Work collaboratively with other engineers on joint service activities
- Travel across the UK, including overnight stays where required
Qualifications & Experience
- ONC or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (HNC preferred)
- Time-served engineer or equivalent hands-on field service experience
- Strong background in service and calibration of process weighing equipment
- Proven fault-finding capability on weighing and measurement systems
- Familiarity with electrical diagnostics and calibration tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation
- Full UK driving licence
