Working Pattern: Hybrid (after probation)

Overview

We’re recruiting Senior EC&I Designers to support a wide range of utility and infrastructure projects across the North West. This is an excellent opportunity to join a large multidisciplinary engineering environment focused on delivering essential services, driving innovation, and supporting sustainable solutions for the future.

Whether you’re experienced in utilities, water, wastewater, or pharmaceutical environments, this role offers diverse project exposure and genuine opportunities to grow your expertise.

What You’ll Be Doing
• Producing reports, scopes of work, concept designs and detailed designs for electrical, control and instrumentation systems
• Carrying out site surveys at existing facilities when required
• Preparing single line diagrams, block cable diagrams, electrical schematics, loop diagrams and related documentation
• Completing documentation in line with agreed standards, processes and quality requirements
• Producing sizing and modelling calculations for electrical cables using approved software
• Supporting the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects to time, cost and technical standards
What You’ll Bring
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an electrical or EC&I design role
• Strong track record delivering electrical installation designs, ideally within the pharmaceutical or utilities sector
• HNC, HND or Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
• Background in utilities (clean or wastewater) is highly desirable
• Familiarity with WIMES standards for the utilities industry
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience using Trimble (Amtech) ProDesign Suite or Electrical OM cable sizing software
• Strong technical understanding and ability to work collaboratively across engineering teams
