We are looking to support our client based in Greater Manchester (South) with a requirement for a Senior Piping Designer on a contract basis. This will be to start in early January and run for an initial 4 months although extensions and further work may be possible. This role will fall outside of IR35 and therefore Limited Company contractors can operate. A rate of pay of £45 per hour is available subject to suitable experience.
The client works in the process industry - oil and gas / pharmaceutical sector and are looking for a senior level candidate capable of working within a fast paced environment and similar projects. They will be part of a design team consisting of around 4 other designers utilising Plant3D and AutoCAD software. Work is approaching a key stage of the project with initial proposals already completed and the main design work will begin in January. As such candidates must be able to learn quickly, hit the ground running as soon as reasonably possible and be able to work independently with minimal supervision after an initial short period of training orientation. Candidates will need to be proficient in Plant 3D software.
This will be largely office based work requiring 5 days per week in the office - certainly for the initial weeks. However some capacity for flexibility on hybrid working may become available after an initial period. As such candidates living locally or within a commutable distance are likely to be preferred but not exclusively.
