Lead Electrician / Technician (x2)

Immediate Start – Contract with potential to go permanent

We are recruiting two experienced Lead Electricians / Technicians to support industrial site projects with an immediate start. Initially running to December, there is strong potential for the work to continue through to March 2026 and ultimately lead to a permanent or long term contract arrangement for the right individuals.

You’ll be involved in major installation and site services projects in the North West, with additional contract work launching shortly in Scotland and expected to run until late February / early March.

Engagement: Ltd company contractors

Rates: £30–£32.50 per hour (Ltd)

Start: ASAP

Location: Work primarily based in Runcorn, with site trips expected

Duration: Through to Christmas initially, then continued to March 2026 depending on performance

The Role
You’ll be responsible for the safe, timely and high-quality delivery of EC&I works on industrial sites, including chemical and petrochemical environments. This is a hands-on role with supervisory responsibility and will suit someone experienced in installations, site management and client-facing project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead day-to-day operations across site and workshop activities
• Manage installation schedules, labour, equipment, plant and materials
• Coordinate with site management teams and other trades
• Maintain safety standards and ensure compliance with industry regulations
• Conduct inspections and testing to recognised standards
• Ensure materials and purchased items are ordered and delivered on time
• Attend progress meetings and provide updates to project management
• Capture variations and delays and ensure agreement with the client
• Mark up drawings to “as-built” status and maintain accurate project documentation
• Maintain high construction quality and engineering standards

About You
Qualifications and experience include:
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) Inspection and Testing
• Experience in industrial and commercial electrical installation
• Strong site organisation and project delivery skills
• Good computer skills (Word, Excel etc.)
• Experience on chemical or petrochemical sites
• COMPEX or Hazardous Area Installation & Inspection certification
• Site safety passport (working or supervisory level)
