- Senior Planner
Location: Northwest (with flexibility for site visits) Salary: £55,000–£65,000 per annum DOE
About the Role We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Planner to join a well-established engineering and infrastructure contractor. This is an excellent opportunity to work on major projects across the water, power & energy, pharmaceutical, nuclear and food & beverage sectors.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, managing and maintaining project schedules, ensuring delivery is achieved on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project or similar planning tools.
- Work closely with project teams to assess resources, forecast timelines, and track progress.
- Liaise with engineers, managers and stakeholders to maintain alignment and clear communication across projects.
- Analyse critical paths, update schedules, and prepare reports such as S-curves and productivity charts.
- Identify risks and delays, implementing proactive solutions to keep projects on track.
- Support effective budget management, resource planning and cost control.
What You’ll Bring
- 3–5+ years’ experience in construction planning and scheduling.
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project or similar.
- Solid understanding of construction methods, drawings and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of budgeting, cost control and resource allocation.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage risks and resolve problems effectively.
- Familiarity with BIM and large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Awareness of safety regulations and quality standards.
- Flexibility to travel and work across multiple sites when required.
