💰 Salary: £45,000 – £50,200 per annum
🕒 Hours: 37.5 per week (Mon–Thurs 07:30–16:00, Fri 07:30–14:45)


About the Opportunity

We are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team based in Kintore.

You’ll be part of a collaborative environment where your technical expertise will contribute to the design and development of advanced electromechanical systems. This is a permanent, full-time position with excellent career development prospects.


Key Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

  • Design, develop, and validate electrical engineering solutions.
  • Lead small to medium-sized design projects.
  • Prepare and review engineering documentation including drawings, manuals, and calculations.
  • Participate in design and contract reviews with commercial awareness.
  • Estimate costs and ensure designs meet budget and timeline targets.
  • Support testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
  • Implement engineering change procedures and maintain project documentation.

Additional Duties:

  • Attend client meetings and ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Investigate and resolve technical queries.
  • Stay current with industry innovations and integrate them into designs.
  • Provide support to global business units, including travel when required.

Skills & Qualifications

Essential:

  • Proven experience in electrical design engineering.
  • Proficiency in Eplan and Autodesk Inventor.
  • Strong knowledge of IEC Standards, EU Directives, CE Marking, ATEX, IECEx, and Norsok.
  • Familiarity with ISO9001 and engineering documentation.
  • Experience with PLM/PDM systems and 3D CAD tools.
  • Skilled in designing and troubleshooting electromechanical systems.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable:

  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary design projects.
  • Knowledge of Wireline Intervention and completion methods.
  • Familiarity with wireline winches, masts, and related equipment.
  • Experience preparing technical files for European Regulations.
  • Understanding of modern manufacturing technologies.
