Principal Telecoms Engineer – Oil & Gas Projects
Location: Surrey (5 days on-site)
Contract Type: Contract (Outside IR35)
Rate: £52 – £55 per hour

We’re currently recruiting for a Principal Telecoms Engineer to support a major oil and gas project. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-profile greenfield development, delivering robust and reliable telecom systems in a technically demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop specifications and conduct technical evaluations for a wide range of telecom systems, including:
- LAN-WAN Systems
- Fiber Optic Cable Systems
- CCTV Systems
- Access Control Systems
- Public Address General Alarm Systems (PAGA)
- PABX, Hotline Systems
- Wireless/Microwave/TMR Radio Systems
- Perimeter/Fence Intrusion Detection Systems
- Produce detailed engineering documentation including block diagrams, schematics, cable schedules, datasheets, wiring diagrams, cabinet layouts, MTOs, and layout drawings.
- Ensure all designs meet safety, reliability, and quality standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Hands-on experience in creating technical reports, drawings and schedules for oil and gas onshore installations.
- Essential experience in greenfield and brownfield telecom projects within the oil and gas industry.
- Experience with onshore middle east / Aramco projects is essential.
