Assembly & Installation Technician

Location: Chester

Salary: £44,725 – £51,296 per annum, dependent on experience

Hours:

Monday to Thursday: 07:00–16:00 Friday: 07:10–12:00 (Flexibility may be required during installation and refurbishment activities.)

DATS are working on behalf of our client to recruit an Assembly & Installation Technician to join their team in Chester.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Assembly & Installation Technician who is looking to work in a high-quality manufacturing environment, performing advanced assembly tasks with precision and care. The successful Assembly & Installation Technician will be responsible for following detailed procedures, using precision tools, and ensuring high standards are always maintained.

As an Assembly & Installation Technician, you will carry out advanced and complex assembly of products, calibration and adjustments using precision equipment, and record data accurately. The Assembly & Installation Technician will also support production targets while maintaining 5S standards and working safely in contamination and radiation-controlled areas.

We are looking for an Assembly & Installation Technician who is a strong team player, has a positive attitude, and is committed to producing high-quality work consistently.

Essential:

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing or assembly environment
  • Strong manual dexterity and the ability to carry out repetitive processes accurately
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high quality standards
  • Flexible and reliable with a positive, can-do approach
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Strong team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good secondary education (GCSE/A Level or equivalent)
  • Willingness to work in contamination and radiation-controlled areas
  • Ability to obtain DV security clearance

Desirable:

  • Forklift Truck Licence or Pedestrian Truck Licence
  • Experience working to 5S standards Experience using precision measuring instruments (torque wrenches, digital gauges)
  • Familiarity with recording data into computer systems
  • Previous experience in calibration and adjustment of components
  • Experience working towards production targets in a manufacturing setting
  • Willingness to travel overseas for training or work activities if required
