Senior Quantity Surveyor – Permanent Role
Location: Staffordshire (Hybrid Working Available)
Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum (Depending on Skills, Training & Competence)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading innovator in gas infrastructure and net zero transition, for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is a key position supporting projects across the natural gas, renewables, and petrochemical sectors, combining commercial management with long-term career growth in an industry shaping the UK's energy future.

Senior Quantity Surveyor Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and price contract variations, supporting project managers and engineers
  • Lead contract reviews and negotiations with clients and subcontractors
  • Prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow statements
  • Contribute to enterprise-level labour and revenue reporting for board-level decision-making
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders in commercial meetings
  • Assist in procurement and financial audit processes
  • Maintain KPI tracking and participate in process improvement initiatives
  • Provide cross-functional support to engineering, design, procurement, and construction teams

Senior Quantity Surveyor Essential Requirements

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
  • Experience with NEC3/NEC4 contracts
  • Understanding of CDM Principal Contractor responsibilities
  • Strong written, numerical, and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project
  • Right to work in the UK

Senior Quantity Surveyor Desirable Requirements

  • Familiarity with National Gas/National Grid or regulated utility frameworks
  • Experience with M&E, Control, and Instrumentation packages in hazardous areas
