Senior Engineer – Electrical Building Services – 6-Month Contract (Inside IR35)

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for two Senior Engineers – Electrical Building Services to support a growing pipeline of work across commercial, industrial, and pharmaceutical projects. Based in Manchester with hybrid flexibility, this is a key opportunity for experienced engineers to contribute to the delivery of complex design packages within a large, multi-disciplinary team.
Senior Engineer – Electrical Building Services Key Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical design and coordination of building services packages from concept to delivery
- Produce detailed electrical specifications and calculations using Amtech and other design tools
- Deliver work packages across commercial, pharmaceutical, and industrial sectors
- Collaborate with internal engineering disciplines and client stakeholders
- Ensure technical compliance with British Standards, Building Regulations, and industry best practice
- Support junior staff and contribute to quality standards across the design team
- Maintain project delivery within agreed budget, time, and quality parameters
Senior Engineer – Electrical Building Services Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical building services design
- Proven track record leading design packages on major projects
- In-depth knowledge of Amtech and other design software
- Strong technical knowledge of the built environment, including commercial or pharmaceutical buildings
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary environment
- Eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship
- Willingness and ability to obtain security clearance
Senior Engineer – Electrical Building Services Desirable
- Chartered or working towards Chartership (IET or CIBSE)
- Experience in client-facing roles and contributing to project strategy
- Familiarity with Revit and other BIM tools
