We’re looking for an efficient Warehouse Associate to join the Logistics department on a permanent basis to be based in Meriden, in the West Midlands. This is to work for an industry leader operating in the agricultural sector that is transforming the industry through innovation in new technology, processes and methods.
As a warehouse associate, you will be receiving products from shipping trucks. You should place all the products in the warehouse and assist all its operations. You will be responsible for shipping all the orders correctly. The ultimate goal is to make sure that all warehouse activities are performed smoothly. Further information is given below and prospective candidates should possess a strong motivation to succeed both as an individual and within a team. Previous agricultural sector experience is not necessarily required as on the job training will be provided for candidates who have evidenced their ability to perform job roles similar to that described below. The company is looking for long term commitments from candidates and willing to reward and look after their staff accordingly.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders.
- Receive products and materials from shipping trucks and ensure everything has been received correctly.
- Handle the products carefully and check them for any defects or damages. Pack and ship orders accurately.
- Monitor all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Organize and manage the inventory.
- Keep a record of all shipments.
- Issue invoices to the customers and label the products.
- Prepare the products for shipment. Order more stock as and when required.
- Ensure all safety and hygiene standards are met in the warehouse for shipping and receiving orders.
KEY SKILLS
- Work collaboratively with the team to accurately and efficiently fill customer orders for delivery.
- Manage inventory, picked and packed customer orders, and ensured accurate deliveries
- Utilize material handling equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, and other types of carts.
- Consolidate and processed customer orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Being able to work as part of a team is essential to being an effective warehouse worker.
EXPERIENCE
3 years’ experience (minimum) in an equivalent role
High level of professionalism and commitment demonstrated in all that they do
PAY AND BENEFITS
- £30,000 - £37,000 per annum
