Role: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £45,000 per annum + package

 

We are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join our Birmingham based client on a permanent basis. Our client is a leading regional contractor with an exceptional reputation for delivering high quality developments and treating their staff exceptionally well.

Primarily working in their smaller works division, this role oversees a variety of sector including Education, Healthcare, Care Homes and Industrial amongst others.

What’s the job?

  • This is an opportunity to be involved throughout the full project life-cycle and would suit a QS who is comfortable running multiple projects with minimal supervision.

  • Ideally, you will be coming from a Regional Contractor and will have experience leading lower value projects (sub-£5million.)

  • You will be needed to evaluate CVIs, EA Instructions, and Variations.

  • Accurately forecast cash on a timely and ongoing basis – ensuring that relationships with suppliers and contractual arrangements are maximised and met.

What you would need:

  • Quantity Surveying degree ideally, we can consider HNC/HND

  • Experience within relevant sectors (if you’ve predominantly worked in civil engineering/rail/infrastructure without the necessary construction experience then I’m afraid you won’t be considered)

  • Refurbishment and New Build experience

  • NEC contract knowledge

The Package:

Salary circa £45,000 per annum
