We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Manchester-based client on a permanent basis. They are a National Housebuilder with a strong reputation and a large presence in the North West.


Due to the continued success of the business and a strong pipeline of work they are keen to add to their busy commercial team. The role will see you based in Manchester with regular site visits in and around the North West. The ideal candidate must come from a Developer background and an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor level or an experienced Quantity surveyor who is ready to take the next step.



  • Liaison with clients/customers to arrange works to be carried out.

  • Selection, Procurement & management of sub-contract packages

  • Measurement and agreement of simple sub-contracts.

  • Preparation of final accounts.

  • Compiling valuations.

  • Reconciliation of cost/value reports.

  • Compliance with contract conditions & Quality Assurance Procedures.

  • Production of weekly reports against forecast.

  • Responsible for subcontractors and costing of jobs


Skills and experience


  • Degree in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management/Construction

  • A background working for housebuilders on large developments


Pay and benefits


  • £35,000-£45,000
