We’re looking for a Lead Cost Engineer for a 20 month PMC contract role operating in the oil & gas sector, to be based in the Greater London area.
What does the job involve?
The Lead Cost Engineer is to form part of the PMC team for an onshore LNG FEED.
Establish budgets and track compliance and deviations
Develop definitive estimates +/-30% and +/-15% for projects by using engineering process and deliverable norms, market information, labour availability and productivity, and material prices based on historical data and benchmark data for LNG plants
Review and validate MCD +/-30% and +/-15% cost estimate build up and final reports. Co-ordinates with PMC engineering to validate/review the cost estimates. Perform benchmarking against the company’s LNG projects
Produce estimate analysis reports for the company/ADNOC PMC Senior Project leadership and present them
Maintain and produce PMC cost reports and maintain MCD change registers of MCD change /variation notices- working with PMC engineering team to validate the changes.
Prioritize tasks and provide guidance to less experienced team members
What skills and experience do you need?
A bachelor's degree in relevant engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of fifteen (15+) years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry, including minimum (5) years, preferred in GCC region. Must have at least five (5) years of experience in similar position in a mega Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects. Managing team of Specialists, Senior Engineers and Engineers.
Experience of working with ADNOC would be an advantage.
What are the pay and benefits?
Hourly rate - circa £50.00 per hour
The role is likely to be outside IR35 but the final decision will be made after an assessment and the role is based on 5 days a week in the FEED contractors office near Staines
