We’re looking for a Contract Manager to join an established design, engineering and construction company operating in the nuclear sector based in the Warrington area.
What does the job involve?
· Provide guidance on contract matters during contract delivery phase.
· Ensure the contract requirements are well known and understood throughout the team and with the end client.
· Act as Lead for all commercial and contractual discussions.
· Commercial lead for preparation of suitable variations.
· Resolving of any commercial issues around rates / payments.
· Prepare and negotiate supply chain agreements.
· Assess supplier capabilities and commitments and ensure the supply chain is fully engaged.
· Develop and maintain effective supply chain relationships.
· Responsibility for preparing suitable commercial reports and attending Client meetings.
· Manage the performance of key suppliers using appropriate KPI's to improve performance and engagement.
· Provision of advice on commercial matters to meet contract criteria.
· Preparation of NEC form of contracts to ensure obligations.
· Preparation of early warnings and contract variation notice through to conclusion.
What skills and experience do you need?
· Contract Management in a technical consultancy / engineering industry environment.
· Significant experience of working with NEC3 contracts including Professional Services (PSC) and Engineering Construction Contract (ECC).
· Experience in review, drafting, implementation and management of contracts and sub-contracts.
· Procurement experience in multifaceted procurements and contracts.
· Strong experience and proven track record of contract and supplier management.
· Proven track record of working across projects to tight deadlines.
