We are looking for a CCS Project Operations Advisor to join an integrated energy company. The CCS Project Operations Adviser will be responsible for providing specialist operations and engineering technical advice for the delivery of the companies transition from its current oil and gas business to that of Carbon Capture and Storage.
Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
• Provide specialist operations and engineering technical advice and guidance for the LBA CCS project, ensuring all existing regulatory and company standards and procedures are adhered to, and processes are optimised for these brownfield modifications.
• Collaborate with EPC contractors and HQ teams for the safe delivery of this key Company project and objective as directed
• Use existing knowledge of facilities and operations to collaborate with all relevant District Functional Teams (& UK Departments where relevant) to ensure safety, operability and maintainability, and environmental requirements are delivered.
• Take ownership of CCS projects within the District to ensure that they are delivered to cost and schedule in line with the company management system. • Propose, collate and review workscopes for transition to CCS and champion their implementation where appropriate.
• Provide support to the Production Team with the transition from O&G activities at the end of field life
• Manage stakeholder inputs to complete and clarify scope requirements • Manage project costs preparation and review and preparation of business case / AFE
• Ensure planning and reporting of project workscope is adequate along with project, contractor liaison and coordination
• Ongoing monitoring of project costs and schedule, ensuring that growth is captured and appropriate schedule is maintained
• Liaise with EPC Contractors in the execution of work and ensure that all design changes are reviewed and approved by the change control process
• Ensure all assigned work is carried out in accordance with the companies priorities and schedules as set out in the integrated Project and District plans
• Review and approve Project workpacks for implementation at all relevant stages
• Identify and coordinate all activities through to close-out as directed
• Interface with relevant Project, Contractors and operations personnel at remote offices as required Main Interfaces INTERNAL Project Management (CCS & DECOM) District Manager, Management Team, Support Teams (Well services, Drilling, Logistics) Functional teams (HRO, ICT, HSE, Supply, Finance) Project Team EXTERNAL Engineering & Construction Contractors Hynet Project team CCS stakeholders
Qualifications & Experience (education and qualifications, experience): Mandatory
• Honours degree in relevant engineering discipline
• Specialist knowledge of the upstream petroleum industry on offshore and onshore projects
• Excellent multi discipline technical awareness in Brownfield Engineering
• Must be conversant and knowledgeable with respect to current and new legislation and standards
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Safety first attitude with proven track record in delivering complex engineering scopes
• Knowledge of the offshore working environment and offshore oil and gas experience essential Desirable
• BOSIET Certificate
• Project Management Qualification (APMP, PMP)
• Chartered Engineer
• Experience of engineering support role for an operating asset

• Thorough knowledge of project development process and projects investment process.
This role is based in the Flintshire. There is a requirement to spend time at EPC Contractor offices in Runcorn and Basingstoke with ad-hoc offshore and business travel as required.
