💰 £43,000 – £47,000 (depending on experience)
The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an experienced Quality Manager to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Standish.
This is a key role within the organisation, responsible for maintaining and developing the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving continuous improvement across the business.
The Role
Reporting to the Operations Director, you will take ownership of the Quality function, ensuring systems, processes, and documentation remain compliant, effective, and audit-ready.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001:2015
- Leading internal audits, non-conformance investigations, and corrective/preventive actions
- Monitoring and analysing quality performance, KPIs, and trends
- Managing customer complaints and supplier quality issues
- Leading management reviews and producing regular quality reports
- Ensuring all quality documentation is accurate, controlled, and up to date
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across processes and systems
- Liaising with external auditors and certification bodies
- Supporting departmental managers to maintain quality standards
- Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality systems
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Quality Assurance or similar role
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and QMS systems
- Experience conducting root cause analysis and investigations
- Proven ability to manage non-conformances and corrective actions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Experience within a manufacturing or chemical environment
Desirable:
- Lead Auditor qualification (ISO 9001, 14001, or 45001)
- Knowledge of environmental and health & safety management systems
- Experience with sampling and product testing
- Relevant qualification (BTEC, HNC or Degree)
