We are supporting our client based in South Manchester working in the water and infrastructure sector with a requirement for an HVAC Designer on a full time, permanent staff basis. Candidates will ideally be based in the Greater Manchester / Cheshire regions with a 3 days office, 2 days from home rota available after the initial probationary period. Salaries are expected to be within the window of 45-55K per annum based on prior experience. Applicants will require immediate eligibility to work in the UK without the need for additional sponsorship or work permit application

Duties:
You’ll use your strong technical knowledge to understand client needs and work closely with specialist providers.
You’ll join client meetings to shape and refine design proposals, and while mainly office based, you’ll visit sites to carry out surveys when needed.
Most projects involve pharmaceutical, cleanroom, and building services environments, from sensitive research spaces to complex sterile facilities.
A solid understanding of current legislation and best practice is essential to ensure fully compliant designs.
You’ll produce clear, high quality information for smooth installation, review quotations, prepare procurement schedules, and support planning throughout the design and procurement stages.
Requirements:
HNC (minimum) in Building Services, with a degree preferred
Skilled in designing and coordinating turnkey projects
Confident using Revit, AutoCAD and Plant3D
Strong understanding of CDM regulations and design risk assessments
Experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare environments, including labs and cleanrooms
Supportive team leader who delivers fully integrated solutions
Comfortable presenting designs in client meetings
3–4 years’ HVAC design experience
Customer‑focused and confident engaging with senior stakeholders
Competence of all major building services systems would be required including:
General & process specific supply & extract ventilation
Fume & dust extract
Clean room ventilation
Comfort air conditioning
Process specific heating / cooling / dehumidification and humidification

LPHW / MPHW & HPHW , Steam & Condensate
