Senior Civil Engineer
Location: Warwick | Hybrid Working (2 Days in Office)
Salary: £48,000–£55,000 + Car Allowance

About the Role
We're currently looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join a growing Civil & Structural team delivering infrastructure design across a range of technically challenging projects.
This position is ideal for a confident engineer with strong Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD experience who enjoys leading projects, mentoring junior engineers, and delivering high-quality civil infrastructure solutions. Projects span multiple highly regulated sectors, including nuclear and defence, offering variety and technical challenge.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver civil infrastructure design packages across a variety of projects
- Manage small project teams and contribute to multidisciplinary project delivery
- Prepare, review, and check engineering calculations, drawings, and technical models
- Review subcontractor drawings to ensure compliance with project and technical standards
- Support tender submissions, fee proposals, and project reporting activities
- Develop practical and sustainable engineering solutions
- Mentor and support engineers, graduates, and apprentices within the team
Team & Reporting Structure
- Work alongside engineers, technicians, and graduate engineers
- Collaborate with wider multidisciplinary teams across multiple sectors
- Provide oversight and guidance to junior engineers
- Report to an Associate or Principal Engineer
Requirements
Essential
- HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering
- Chartered, Incorporated, or working towards professional accreditation (ICE, CIHT, IHE, or similar)
- Strong experience in:
- Drainage design
- Earthworks
- Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
- Pavements and utilities design
- High proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of UK adoption standards including:
- Section 38 (S38)
- Section 278 (S278)
- Section 104 (S104)
- Strong understanding of British Standards and current design guidance
- Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)
Desirable
- Experience using Microdrainage or Infodrainage
- Experience with Revit or Bentley MicroStation
- Previous experience working within regulated or complex project environments
Security & Eligibility Requirements
Due to the nature of the projects, candidates must:
- Be willing and eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC) or higher
- Hold British citizenship
- Have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
- Eligibility for Developed Vetting (DV) is advantageous but not essential
