Plant Operator – Stoke-on-Trent

Duration: 6 months
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 39 hours per week
Pay Rate: £16.55 per hour (PAYE)
We're currently looking for a Plant Operator to join a busy cylinder re-test facility in Stoke-on-Trent. This role is ideal for someone with a mechanical background who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

Inspect cylinders, valves and packs

Carry out refurbishment and re-validation of industrial and integrated products

Follow and maintain strict Health & Safety procedures

Identify faults and escalate issues when required

Support additional operational duties within the facility as needed
Requirements

Minimum City & Guilds qualification in a mechanical discipline or NVQ equivalent (essential)

A proactive attitude with the ability to work on your own initiative

Positive and energetic approach to work

Good awareness of safety procedures in an industrial environment
Desirable

Forklift truck licence (not essential – full training can be provided)
