Events Co-ordinator

We’re looking for an organised and enthusiastic Events Co-ordinator to join a busy Student Recruitment team on a fixed-term basis, supporting the planning and delivery of high-quality recruitment and graduation events.
This role is ideal for someone who can start as soon as possible and is available to work through to the end of September 2026.
This is a full time, campus based role so remote and hybrid working will not be possible. Given the nature of events recruitment drives, open days, graduation ceremonies etc, candidates will also need to offer additional flexibility for evening and weekends where required as they will be leading and coordinating these events. Hours are otherwise 37 per week 8.30am -5pm.
The role
You’ll take ownership of event planning from concept to delivery, working closely with academic and professional colleagues, marketing teams and external stakeholders. You’ll also play a key part in developing and improving events through post-event evaluation and feedback.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate recruitment events (on-campus and virtual)
- Coordinating schedules, venues, staffing, equipment and event logistics
- Liaising with faculties and internal teams to ensure timely communication and smooth delivery
- Supporting attendance at external recruitment events such as fairs and exhibitions
- Working with marketing colleagues to promote events and monitor registrations
- Producing detailed event plans, briefs and timelines
- Supporting the annual delivery of graduation ceremonies
- Managing event budgets and tracking expenditure
- Conducting post-event reviews and reporting on feedback and outcomes
About you
You’ll be highly organised, detail-driven and confident working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Previous experience in event coordination or event management (education or recruitment experience desirable)
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Experience supporting virtual or hybrid events (e.g. webinars, live chats, online presentations)
- Strong IT skills, including MS Office and online collaboration tools such as Teams or Zoom
- A proactive, flexible and customer-focused approach
Degree level education or equivalent professional experience is required. Experience working within the higher education sector is desirable but not essential.
