Are you an experienced Estimator or Tendering Engineer with a passion for sustainable energy and technically robust proposals? We’re seeking a committed professional to join a growing sales and commercial team for a key renewable energy specialist supporting low-carbon projects across the UK.
About the Role
As an Estimator / Tendering Engineer you’ll sit at the heart of the bid process, producing commercially competitive, technically sound tenders and proposals that convert new business opportunities into delivered projects.
You’ll work closely with internal teams and clients, analysing tender documentation, preparing accurate cost estimates and budgetary submissions, and ensuring pricing reflects realistic execution and compliance with industry standards.
What You’ll Do
Prepare and deliver high-quality tender submissions and proposals. Review detailed engineering requirements within tender packages. Assess project viability from technical and commercial perspectives. Undertake site visits to verify scope, costs and assumptions. Maintain clear communication with clients and internal stakeholders. Ensure compliance with specifications, industry standards and regulations.
About You
Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or HNC/HND with experience). Proven background (typically 2–5+ years) in estimating / tendering, ideally in energy, power generation or engineering. Technical expertise in mechanical/electrical systems, power generation or associated renewable technologies. Strong commercial awareness and ability to build cost models and pricing strategies. Competent with Microsoft Office and CRM/estimating systems. Full, valid UK driving licence.
