Commissioning Manager – Oil & Gas
Location: Leatherhead (minimum four days per week in office)

Hours: 40 per week
Rate: £70 per hour (Ltd)
We’re supporting a major upstream development project and are looking for an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead the home-office phase of a large CPF EPC project. This position will report directly to the Project Manager and will play a key role in ensuring commissioning and operations requirements are fully integrated into the design.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the Commissioning & Operations team based in the Leatherhead office.
• Manage and deliver all Commissioning & Operations documentation, including plans, procedures, PC&C task registers, checklists, test sheets, CMS setup, and more.
• Ensure commissioning and operations objectives are embedded into engineering design.
• Attend relevant engineering reviews such as HAZOP, P&ID, model and plot plan sessions.
• Work closely with Engineering, Construction, and Operations teams to ensure alignment across all stages.
• Provide weekly and monthly progress reports, manage budgets, and ensure deliverables meet schedule requirements.
• No travel to Iraq required.
Requirements
• Degree in Engineering (BSc/BEng) or HNC in a relevant discipline.
• 15–20 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Strong technical writing skills with proven experience producing high-quality deliverables.
• Strong leadership, planning, and organisational abilities.
• Familiarity with Total Energies OPERCOM methodology and iCAPs Completions is an advantage.
Project Overview
The project involves the full field development of a major upstream site supporting a large CPF facility, water treatment systems, gas compression, and export infrastructure. With more than 200 planned wells and a target of over 200 kbopd production, this is a substantial long-term development opportunity.
