Learning & Development Coordinator

Worcester – 6-month contract – Immediate start

We have an opportunity for a Learning & Development Coordinator to join a busy engineering workshop environment in Worcester. This is a hands-on role supporting workshop staff and management with procedures, documentation, process improvement and safety-focused initiatives.

This Learning & Development Coordinator role is full-time, fully on-site and offers a 39-hour working week with potential for overtime.

Contract Details
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 6 months
• Location: Worcester
• Hours:
o Monday–Thursday: 07:00–15:30
o Friday: 07:00–14:00
o Weekend and overtime available
• Overtime Rates:
o 150% on Saturdays
o 200% on Sundays
• Rate: £17.00 per hour PAYE

The Role
Working within a small team of up to four, you will support the development, implementation and improvement of workshop processes, focusing primarily on safety, documentation and operational efficiency.
Reporting to the Asset Planning & Workshop Manager, responsibilities include:
• Developing, updating and maintaining risk assessments
• Creating and revising Workshop Work Instructions (WWIs)
• Identifying and delivering process improvements
• Managing disposal and scrapping of obsolete equipment and materials
• Supporting corrective actions following audits
• Ensuring workshop procedures are understood and practical for staff
• Preparing documentation and evidence for audits
• Maintaining records and contributing to safety reporting
• Supporting improvements to workshop layout and implementing management of change processes
• Ensuring activity complies with regulatory and internal safety requirements

About You
We are looking for a proactive and reliable individual who enjoys structured work, problem-solving and improving processes. The ideal candidate will have:
• Experience in EH&S, workshop operations or technical administration
• Strong understanding of risk assessment and safety procedures
• Good written communication and documentation skills
• Strong IT skills, including Word and Excel
• Ability to work independently and manage changing priorities
• Experience in coordinating activities
• Engineering or technical background beneficial
• Experience in process improvement or lean environments desirable
