📍 Location: North West England (Hybrid after probation)

💰 Salary: £70,000 – £75,000 per annum

Are you a seasoned electrical engineer ready to lead complex infrastructure projects and mentor the next generation of talent? We’re recruiting for a Principal Electrical Engineer to join a leading multidisciplinary design and build contractor delivering cutting-edge engineering solutions across water, energy, pharmaceutical, nuclear, and food & beverage sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering projects, offering expert guidance and sustainable design solutions.
  • Conduct audits, feasibility studies, and risk assessments.
  • Support bids and review tenders to ensure technical and commercial alignment.
  • Manage design subcontracts and deliver detailed electrical designs.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous operational improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with design standards and CDM 2015 responsibilities.

What We’re Looking For

  • Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Proven experience as a Principal Electrical Engineer across multiple sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of regulated construction projects and full project lifecycle.
  • Proficient in British Standards, CDM 2015, and LV/HV systems.
  • Skilled in AutoCAD, Revit, DIALux, SKM, and digital engineering tools.
  • Experience in hazardous area design and quality assurance.
  • Passionate about mentoring and driving efficiency.
