This role sits within one of the UK’s largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors, supporting projects across the water, power & energy, pharmaceutical, nuclear, and food & beverage industries.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Deliver high-quality Electrical and Instrumentation design services across a variety of projects
- Generate electrical installation deliverables in line with BS7671 IEE Wiring Regulations and client requirements
- Produce clear, well-structured documentation in line with quality and compliance standards
- Conduct site surveys and provide construction assistance where needed
- Collaborate with design and equipment subcontractors and multi-disciplinary teams
- Identify smarter, more efficient solutions to keep projects on time and on budget
What You’ll Bring:
- HNC or Degree in a technical engineering subject
- Practical experience delivering electrical installation designs in the water utility sector
- Thorough knowledge of BS7671 – 18th Edition
- Familiarity with E&I design best practices and project lifecycle management
- Experience creating 2D/3D electrical layouts, containment routing diagrams, instrumentation loop diagrams, cable calculations, and communication network diagrams
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 as a ‘Designer’
- Hazardous area design experience including intrinsically safe calculations
Software Proficiency:
- AutoCAD LT, Relux/Dialux, Trimble (Amtech) Pro Design Suite
- Microsoft Office
- Aveva, Navisworks, Revit
