Chemical Process Safety Engineer – Senior & Junior Roles Available

💼 Contract: Permanent (6-month probation period)
🕒 Hours: 8am – 4pm, Monday to Friday
💰 Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum (depending on experience)
We’re currently hiring two experienced Chemical Process Safety Engineers to join our client's team at a high-hazard manufacturing site. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and safety-focused environment, contributing to critical safety processes and regulatory compliance.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and other formal safety assessments.
- Develop safety philosophies, HSE plans, and technical specifications.
- Conduct hazardous area classifications and DSEAR risk assessments.
- Provide technical support across projects and ensure compliance with COMAH and other UK regulations.
- Stay current with industry standards, legislation, and best practices.
🎯 What We’re Looking For:
- Senior Role:Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a high-hazard industry (e.g., oil, gas, chemicals).
- Junior Role:Minimum 3 years’ industry experience.
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment techniques and process hazard analysis.
- Chartered status with IChemE (desirable for senior role).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
