Description

We are currently looking to support our client - a leading M&E Construction consultancy with a requirement for a Mechanical Estimator / Bid Manager on a permanent staff basis. This would be based out of a head office in Liverpool but there is scope to consider candidates based near another regional office in Leeds. The majority of work will be office or site based with only limited capability for hybrid / remote working so candidates needs to be based within a feasible commutable area.

Salarie have not been released but will be negotiable to market and experience levels. Our research suggests this starts around 50K per annum - with salaries of 70+ possible for the highest level candidates. Package benefits will include company pension scheme, Health Insurance, and car scheme.  This is a full time Monday to Friday role, hours 9-5 (4pm on Fridays)

Mechanical Estimator / Bid Manager

Location: Liverpool or Leeds Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator / Bid Manager to join our growing team at our Liverpool headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate and detailed mechanical estimates and bids

Lead and manage the bid process from tender review to submission

Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal departments

Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings as required

Ensure bids meet all technical and commercial requirements

Maintain and update estimating tools, databases, and cost libraries

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator or Bid Manager within the M&E or construction industry

Strong understanding of mechanical systems and drawings

Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills

Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
