Bulk Gas Technician
Location: Leixlip, Ireland (Intel site)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: 12 months (potential to go permanent)
Hours: 39 hours/week
Schedule:

Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 16:00

Friday: 07:30 – 15:00
Overtime: Paid at 150% of base rate (for hours worked beyond 39 per week)
About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Bulk Gas Technician to support operations at a high-tech manufacturing site in Leixlip, just outside of Dublin. This role sits within a team responsible for delivering safe, reliable, and cost-effective gas systems and engineering solutions for on-site gas storage and distribution.
The position is initially offered on a 12-month contract, with the possibility of becoming permanent subject to performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor the performance of gas systems and equipment to ensure delivery standards are met

Perform fault finding and troubleshooting; carry out modifications and repairs as required

Maintain accurate and timely records of system performance and maintenance activities

Develop and follow operating procedures and method statements

Uphold the highest safety standards, ensuring compliance with all health and safety protocols

Take prompt corrective actions when safety or performance issues are identified
Required Skills & Experience

Recognised engineering qualification (e.g., Diploma or relevant apprenticeship)

Strong electrical/electronic technical experience

Previous experience with SCADA/PLC systems is highly desirable

Familiarity with method statements and operating procedures

Understanding of plant/facilities operations or experience in a related industry

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound, timely decisions

Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Confident using MS Office applications
