Control Systems Engineers – Nuclear & Power Sectors

 Location: Warrington (Office-Based, Some Travel Required)

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) or Inside IR35 Temporary Contract

Salary: Circa 55K but negotiable based on prior experience

We are looking to support our client, a high-level design consultancy providing integrated solutions for clients in the Nuclear, Power and Petrochemical Industries. They are looking to expand their team in Warrington and are seeking Control Systems Engineers / C&I Engineers / PES Engineers to support various projects. Applicants will require existing and current eligibility to work in the UK.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical expertise in Control Systems – and potentially Instrumentation too. Utilise control, protection, and monitoring systems for nuclear and other power plants. Support nuclear decommissioning activities, , Safety Engineering Requirements, and Process Instrumentation Design. Deliver Facilities Management Technical Support across various projects. Work independently with minimal supervision, providing engineering solutions across multiple disciplines. Engage in client site work, which may involve embedding within client offices as required.

 

Candidate Requirements:

Strong background in C&I, or EC&I. Design Engineering experience, and experience with industrial process controls using Programmable Electronic Systems (PES).

Process industry experience i.e. chemical sector / oil&gas / petrochemical / power generation / pharmaceutical / renewables / Water industry. Nuclear project experience would be most suitable and highly preferable – but not essential. Knowledge of and experience with relevant safety standards e.g. IEC 61508

Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight. Flexibility to travel occasionally as required. Candidates should be based within a commutable distance to Warrington.
