Location: Buckinghamshire
Contract Type: 6-Month Contract (Outside IR35)
Rate: £45 per hour LTD (Outside IR35)

Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to support the delivery of transmission and distribution upgrades for a gas plant site in Buckinghamshire. This contract role offers the opportunity to work on complex construction scopes within a highly regulated sector. Candidates should be based in the local area or within a commutable distance as no additional expense budget exists and the limited company rate of pay on offer (£45 pr hour) is all that will apply. This is a site based role so no hybrid or remote working will be available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing construction management on site.
  • Working closely with the client, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Managing multi-discipline contractors and ensuring adherence to CDM regulations in the role of Principal Contractor.
  • Supporting design development, subcontractor management, procurement, and quality assurance.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Liaising with clients and multidisciplinary design teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven UK onshore construction management experience within the Chemical, Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Transmission & Distribution, or Oil & Gas sectors (essential).
  • Experience operating as Principal Contractor under CDM regulations while working with a design team.
  • Mechanical and EC&I experience (highly desirable).
  • CCNSG or CSCS certification.
  • Strong background in subcontract management, procurement, design development, and quality management.
  • Right to work in the UK – this role is only open to candidates with indefinite eligibility to work in the UK.
