Payroll Assistant – Permanent Role
Location: Warrington
Salary: £24,000 – £28,000 FTE (Depending on Experience)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time or Part-Time
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Payroll Assistant to join their growing team in Warrington. This role is available on a full-time or part-time basis and offers long-term potential for development as part of a busy and expanding payroll function.
Payroll Assistant Key Responsibilities
- Assist with processing company expenses via online portal
- Produce monthly expense reports
- Support weekly payroll administrative tasks
- Manage and route payroll queries to relevant team members
- Respond to general administrative enquiries
- Assist with weekly sick pay reporting and processing
- Collate payroll-related information for the payroll team
- Act as first point of contact for incoming payroll calls
- Provide general admin support to the wider payroll team
Payroll Assistant Essential Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Good timekeeping and ability to meet strict deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Willingness to support various administrative functions as needed
Payroll Assistant Desirable Requirements
- Experience using Sage50 Payroll
- Previous experience in a payroll or finance admin setting
