Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Head Office: Swinton, Manchester
Salary £50-60K + benefits with some flexibility for more experienced candidates.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing projects within the mechanical, installation, automation, and constructional steel sectors. This role demands excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to lead projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
There will be a requirement for travel but this will mostly be daily with the occasional over night or longer visit required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage multiple projects simultaneously from start to finish.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, and subcontractors to define project requirements and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports to stakeholders.
- Manage project budgets and resource allocation.
- Lead project team meetings and provide clear direction to team members.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in mechanical, installation, automation, or constructional steel work. Projects up to about £2M
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- PMP or similar certification preferred but not essential.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel nationwide as needed.
