We are currently looking to support our client with a requirement for a Rotating Equipment Engineer to start as soon as possible on a 12 month contract basis with the likelihood of further extensions. This will be based out of a Surrey office but with occasional travel to contractors in South Korea, Italy, and Austria – and a site location in Belgium.

A hybrid working arrangement is expected to be permitted with 2 days working from home and 3 days in the office. Limited Company operators will be able to operate outside of IR35 – subject to a confirmation assessment.

Job Description

 

Our client intends to build a new stand-alone sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and hydro processed vegetable oil (HVO) unit including a feed pre-treatment facility at site in Belgium. The client has requested a PMC to be provided to support their team.

The primary aim is to provide expertise to assist with CAPEX reduction and an increased rate of return. The client and PMC teams will evaluate the scope development of licensors, technology and service providers as well as engineering integrator.

The rest of the work will be typical PMC.

Work includes

  1. Supporting Engineering Partners and Licensors in developing all engineering deliverables to ensure a safe process unit fully integrated into the relevant refinery site.
  2. Reviewing of engineering documentation from Licensor / Engineering partner.
  3. Attend meetings.
  4. Provide progress reports.

Requirements

1   Experience working as a PMC or for a client.

  1. Required - Knowledge and experience of providing rotating machinery for the European market including machinery directives, ATEX and CE marking.
  2. A specialist and detailed knowledge of the major machinery types such as centrifugal compressors, pumps, and gas/steam turbines will be required. A working knowledge of API industry standards for machinery is required
