We are currently looking to support our client with a requirement for a QA/QC Inspector on a 3 month contract basis to be based in the Republic of Ireland (County Kildare). This could extend based on further requirements and will be to start in early June 2021. Please note - due to Covid 19 quarantine restrictions the client would prefer candidates currently based in the Republic /Northern Ireland, but not exclusively and mobilisation/demobilisation cost for none Irish based candidates will be reimbursed.
A description is given below - however candidates must hold a CSWIP 3.2 weld inspection qualification and ideally an RT Interpretation qualification. Rates have not been stated and candidates will need to provide their negotiable expectations. Work schedule: basic 5 days per week (0 hours per day), but must also be flexible.
The QC Inspector is responsible for supervision of the Projects required Quality standard and the Contractor's implementation of their quality system to be used for the project and includes:
" Work with and support the Project Quality Manger with day-to-day QA/QC project requirements.
" Implement and Manage the Site Construction Quality System including monitoring conformance to all relevant inspection and test plans
" Follow and champion QA/QC Management System on and off site.
" Responsibility, authority, and organizational freedom to audit, inspect and witness site activities and to verify compliance to contract quality requirements. This responsibility includes actions such as assisting the construction supervision staff in prevention of quality problems, identifying quality-related problems, should they occur, initiating or recommending solutions, and verifying corrective action.
" Perform all aspects of Piping and Mechanical Inspection activities.
" Ensure Piping and Mechanical ITP stages are followed and complied.
" Coordinate with the inspections, notifications.
" Assist the Project Quality Manager coordinating with regulatory bodies (PED) representatives (NOBO).
" Responsibility for coordinating quality-related activities within the site staff and with the site Company Representatives.
" Monitor Piping and Mechanical and conduct required inspections works to resolve quality related issues.
" Verify that QC activities comply with Quality Codes and Standards.
" Identify and control NCR's with CA/PA.
" Review and acceptance of fabrication records as per ITP requirements.
" Coordinating with the Site Manager and Group QA/QC Manger.
" The QC Inspector reports directly to the Project Quality Manager.
