We are seeking a talented CAD Designer with experience in facade or glazing design to join a busy design team. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Cheshire, with free on-site parking and a supportive, collaborative working environment. The position arises due to the retirement of a valued team member.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and technical drawings to project specifications.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and architects to understand design requirements.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Review and refine existing designs to improve functionality and resolve issues.
- Conduct quality checks on completed designs to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with team members to meet project deadlines.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CAD Designer or similar, ideally with facade or glazing experience.
- Proficient in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD; experience with Inventor or 3D modelling is beneficial but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to design and drafting.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking.
