Job Vacancy: Strategic Business Assistant

We currently have a position for a Strategic Business Assistant to join our client based in Warrington.
Their North West Business Unit is a key area for growth and as such, communication across the Business Unit needs a particular focus. Internal staff across all offices will need to be kept up to date on diversification and growth and need to understand the opportunities offered outside of their own working environment. Raising the profile externally is equally important to attract new staff to the business unit and to achieve their growth targets.

The role of the Strategic Business Assistant is a new role in the North West Business Unit Management Structure for 2008 and has been created for the following reasons;

* To give a focus for effective communication across the business unit between the Management Team and the staff,
* To raise the profile of the North West business unit and my client within the Industry,
* To assist the Operations Manager in production of information for reporting monthly progress against internal budget targets.

As Strategic Business Assistant, you will have the freedom to be innovative, to make suggestions as to how better communication and staff engagement can be achieved and to follow these through to delivery. In addition, you will play a part in assessing the performance of the business unit in terms of meeting its growth and revenue targets and will assist the Operations Manager with the production of information for senior management reporting.

To be successful in this role you will need to be confident and articulate in verbal communication and good presentation skills.

You will also need excellent communication skills both written and verbal. In addition you will need excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel, with an attention to detail and a desire to present information in a clear/ simple graphical way and excellent Powerpoint skills.

In addition to the skills above you will need to be enthusiastic with new and fresh ideas, a clear passion for my clients business and a desire to make things happen. You will also need to have a genuine interest in talking and engaging people in all aspects of the business.

You will need to have a general awareness of events and conferences across the industry and a view on how their reputation can be enhanced by attendance at such events/awards etc.

You will need to be innovative in ideas in how they can better enhance communication with staff across a growing business and be comfortable interacting with colleagues and clients at a Director level and have the ability to gain trust and respect for yourself and my client.
