My client has a solid reputation for successfully delivering engineering design solutions within a wide range of disciplines. They currently have a number of opportunities for Electrical Engineers to join their Wastewater Treatment team based in High Wycombe. They would welcome applications from candidates at all levels of experience for these positions.
The High Wycombe offices are currently working for a number of major clients including Thames Water, United Utilities, Southern Water, Wessex Water, Welsh Water and Severn Trent to deliver a significant number of major projects as a part of the AMP4 capital investment programme.
You will be part of a number of experienced teams responsible for the optioneering, solution development and detail design of schemes including:
* Wastewater Treatment Works to upgrade the quality of water released into rivers and the sea
* Water Treatment Works to improve, upgrade and enlarge supply
* Schemes to help safeguard water supplies including service reservoirs and network projects
* Work to start addressing Government plans for new housebuilding in the South-East
Projects will range in size from less than £50k up to around £50 million looking at new build, quality improvements and asset maintenance and will generally involve working in multi-discipline teams.
To be successful in this role you must have the ability to manage and develop projects from a brief. You must also be able to produce project documentation which includes engineering specifications, single line diagrams, P and IDs, control philosophies etc.
The role requires an experienced Electrical engineer, with understanding of both waste water and clean water treatment processes. This should include knowledge of typical supply distribution and control equipment used on both small and medium sized works.
You must be able to supervise and liaise with drawing office staff. You will be required to have sound knowledge of current legislation and you must be able to work in accordance with QA and H&S procedures.
It is also essential that you are able to communicate at all levels with the client, suppliers, contractors and our design team.
A clean full driving licence together with your own car would also be preferable. In addition to the required technical skills, you should have the ability to work well within a team environment, have a strong client service focus and excellent organisational skills.
