Job Vacancy: Design Team Leader - water networks

Design Team Leadr (water networks) required for a permanent vacancy in Solihull.
Prepared to pay a very attractive salary plus benefits for tha right applicant (doe)

To be successful in this role you will have a proven background in water and/or wastewater design, with experience in the production of civil engineering designs and specifications for water and wastewater projects, which ideally will have included treatment plants, pumping stations and pipelines.

A worldwide team of professionals involved in designing, managing and implementing leading edge programmes and projects in the water, environmental and energy sectors currently have an opportunity for Design Team Leaders to work in our newly opened office in Solihull. They are looking for experienced individuals at a senior to principal level.

To be successful in this role you will have a proven background in water and/or wastewater design, with experience in the production of civil engineering designs and specifications for water and wastewater projects, which ideally will have included treatment plants, pumping stations and pipelines.

With knowledge of water industry best practise you should be experienced in the design of water and wastewater treatment works, hydraulic design, pipeline engineering, ground engineering, pumping station design and the design of water retaining structures.

Being able to work and lead in a multi disciplined team you will take ownership for your individual work output and remain focused on the most important priorities, while showing an understanding of project management tools and methodologies and being capable of delivering technical work to time and cost targets under the direction of the project manager.

With excellent communication skills you will have strong report writing skills and be able to provide support, guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff in order to help grow their technical abilities, while being able to take on new challenges and stretch past performance.
You will also ideally be a member of the relevant engineering institution.
