Project Control Engineer /Planner required for our client within the Food Process/Mancufacturing Industry.
We are currently recruiting for a Project Control Engineer /Planner for our client within the Food Process.Mancufacturing Industry .
The Role:
The development and maintenance of a detailed execution programme for the complete project.
This to encompass:
Design, procurement, manufacture, shipment, construction, commissioning and training.
The project engineering team based in the UK. will be responsible for the design and selection of all primary processing plant and ancillary equipment as well as outline specification of all Ghanaian based civil and building works.
This team will comprise of engineers covering the following disciplines:
Process Engineering Electrical, Instrument and Control Engineering Mechanical Handling & Engineering Utilities.
The project team based in Ghana. This team will be responsible for the civil and building works as well as the plant installations, and will comprise of engineers covering the following disciplines: Architectural Quantity Surveying Civil & Building Services Primary equipment manufacturers who will be required to provide and maintain manufacturing programmes within their contractual obligations.
The Shipping Manager. This will be a sub-contracted operation that will coordinate all shipping and transportation.
Skills and Experience:
As a senior team member it is essential to have both oral and written communication skills, and be capable of providing guidance, assistance and explanations in a simple and no nonsense manner. Flexibility and self motivation.
A high level of energy is required for what will an exiting project working in close collaboration with a wide range of people of varied backgrounds.
Technical
1: The ability to develop both working and management level schedules /reports. Also similar in respect of the provision of guidance to sub-contractors in their requirements of planning, scheduling and progress monitoring.
2. Early identification and flagging of deviations from schedule. We cannot rely upon intuition, though of course it can be a plus!
3. Proficiency in the use of project control / planning and risk evaluation software, databases, spreadsheets, word processing and power point software.
4. Working knowledge of engineering, procurement and construction work processes within the Food Processing industry is essential. Experience in the edible oil seed processing is not necessary, though skills related to identifying, analysing and solving problems.
