Job Vacancy: Electrical Maintenance Specialist
Our client requires an Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join their existing team working on oil & gas projects in the Aberdeen area on a contract basis.
Duties
We are seeking someone with an electrical maintenance background, with a working knowledge of SAP, and an understanding of maintenance strategies, maintenance techniques and failure modes, to work on the optimisation of preventative maintenance scopes and strategies.
To provide maintenance engineering support with the aim of reducing complexity and waste in the preventative maintenance system, increasing predictive maintenance techniques and reducing corrective maintenance backlog and breakdown events.
Helping improve asset availability and equipment reliability.
Take part in multi-disciplinary maintenance strategy review workshops, initially utilising generic maintenance strategies where available, and S-RCM & REM methodologies.
Ensure all SAP register fields are completed to meet Quality requirements.
Support the implementation of deferment reduction and site maintenance integrity improvement projects.
Provide support to asset maintenance discipline engineering teams.
Experience and background
Either a Degree/HND Qualified Engineer with Mechanical/Electrical/Instrument or reliability background.
Practically experienced senior technician or supervisor with an HNC.
Demonstrable knowledge of Maintenance Processes & Techniques Familiarity with Safety Engineering principles
Understanding of failure modes in process equipment.
Conversant with SAP-PM
Computer skills to include Word Outlook and Excel
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, data sheets, vendor drawings and O&M manuals.
5 years experience in the oil and gas, process or similar industry.
