Job Vacancy: QHSE MANAGER

QHSE Manager - Perm - St. Helens - 30 -36K
To work in conjunction with the General Manager on the site business plan in relation to functional responsibilities.

QHSE Manager to work in conjunction with the General Manager on the site business plan in relation to functional responsibilities.

* The application and management of best in class:
* QA Capabilities for St. Helens business activities
* QC and testing facilities for the site
* EHS capabilities at the site
* Direct, indirect and overhead cost control within agreed budget parameters
* A supportive environment where a maximum contribution from each employee is valued and encouraged, consistent with the site Investors in People programme

KEY TASKS
* Direct and manage a team tasked with the provision of Laboratory Testing services
* Direct and manage a team tasked with the provision of QA actrivities on site and in the business
* Direct and manage a team of EH&S professionals tasked with the maintenance and improvement of safety EH&S practices
* Provide a scientific point of contact for customers
* Maintain an awareness of best practice techniques

RELEVANT AND QUANTIFIABLE MEASURES
* Degree or equivalent, Chartered Chemist, microbiologist or similar Status.
* QA qualification or extensive experience in an ISO regulated environment.
* EHS experience in Manufacturing environment.
* Experience of Packaging, Blending in an FMCG environment.
* Experience of Blow moulding QA Techniques.
* Experience of application of Kaizen techniques in a process environment.
* Worked within FMCG. Departmental leadership level expertise.
