Our client is a major player in the N Wales / Wrexham area in the food industry. They operate 24 hr / day 7 days / week. They are currently looking for a Multiskilled Technician biased towards electrical to join their existing maintenanace staff.

Our client is a major player in the N Wales / Wrexham area in the food industry. They operate 24 hr / day 7 days / week. They are currently looking for a Multi skilled Technician biased towards electrical to join their existing maintenance staff.


Must be able to demonstrate:

Sound depth and understanding of electrical/ electronic skills & disciplines
Experience in mechanical disciplines
Good working knowledge of PLC's
Sound fault finding abilities
Good communication skills

Purpose of the Job:

To supplement our existing team of engineers, operating on a 4 on 4 off shift basis operating 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Nature & Scope of Job:

To provide breakdown and planned maintenance support to the operation to enable the site to reliably and efficiently maximise production

Ability to respond well when under pressure to return equipment to service quickly by application of diagnostic tools to identify Root

Strong working knowledge of PLC systems

Ability to use initiative to offer up solutions to issues and aid development of site working practices and systems

Experience and application of planned maintenance techniques to ensure equipment is maintained to the highest standards to minimise equipment downtime

Experience of working within a FMCG environment together with experience of food packing equipment would be an advantage

Diagnosis and repair to engineering related breakdowns

Completion of Planned maintenance tasks

Completion of work requisitions

Health & Safety compliance's

Assist with control of engineering stores/spares

Engineering installations


Knowledge & Experience Required:

Candidates must have a recognised Apprenticeship or be educated to at least ONC standard, with core skills within Electrical Engineering
